FIVE-ZI

SUPPLIES

DIRECTIONS

  • 10 large foam dice (5 per team)

  1. Divide students into 2 teams.

  2. Each team gets 5 large foam dice.

  3. The object of the game is to be the first team to get all 5 of your dice to show the same number.

  4. Students take turns answering questions (Rotate subjects: Math, English, Science, Geography, History, Timeline).

  5. If the student answers correctly, they get ONE point for their team AND get to roll their team’s dice. On a team’s first roll, the student rolls all 5 dice at once, then on subsequent turns they roll however many they want - strategically aiming to get all 5 of the dice to show the same number. For instance, if a team already has two 3’s, a student might set those to the side, and roll the other dice to try to get 3’s.

  6. The first team to get all 5 of their dice to show the same number shouts “FIVE-ZI!” and wins TWO points.  The team with the most points at the end of the time period wins!

TALLY MARKS

The team with the most cards at the end of the game wins and earns 5 tally marks.

The losing team earns 3 tally marks.
